According to OdA MM, the term „massage therapy“ is confusing in itself and leaves a lot of room for interpretation. A massage is therapeutic if it is applied to a sick person in a patient-oriented way with a clear therapeutic goal.
The manipulation itself, i.e. the massage technique, is not medical, but the purpose of the treatment makes it medical. This assumes that the person being treated has a disorder of some kind.
Illness always means an imbalance in the functioning of a body system or in its subtle interaction with other systems.
Every medical-therapeutic massage, no matter what technique, tries to restore this balance. In a direct way through a balancing effect from the outside; in an indirect way by stimulating the ability to regenerate (self-healing powers).
The medical-therapeutic massage is a stimulation therapy, in which adequate massage techniques are applied by hand in all tissues of the body for healing purposes (therapy). The essence of massage is the application of pressure and tension in the tissue by hand.
The techniques I use in my treatments are:

  • Classic massage
  • Reflexology
  • Hydrothermal therapy
  • Electrotherapy
  • Deep tissue massage
  • Lymphatic drainage therapy
  • Kinesotaping
  • Cupping Therapy
  • Prenatal massage
  • Trigger point therapy
